Ele co-inventou v\u00e1rios produtos m\u00e9dicos, fundou e atuou como consultor para empresas nos Estados Unidos, Canad\u00e1, Alemanha, Su\u00ed\u00e7a, Portugal e Brasil. Graduado em Engenharia dos Materiais pela Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, possui Mestrado em Qu\u00edmica pela Universidade Federal do Cear\u00e1 e Doutorado em Qu\u00edmica pelo Instituto Max Planck na Alemanha e \u00e9 P\u00f3s-Doutor no Departamento de Engenharia Biom\u00e9dica da Universidade de Toronto, no Canad\u00e1.
